About Stellar
Stellar (XLM) was created in 2014 by Jed McCaleb and was originally a hard-fork of the Ripple protocol.
Similarly to Ripple, Stellar offers a cheap and fast way of sending money around the world. This is achieved by using the Stellar Consensus Protocol (SCP), which utilizes federated Byzantine agreements to achieve consensus in the network.
